Meet Ana, The Alligator Wrestling Coach
Vicious chomping alligators haunted Ana’s dreams for years. Prison was the bleak future for her three stepsons, her husband was fighting cancer and her own sons were struggling mentally. These alligators were taking her piece by piece.
And yet she prevailed.
She fought alongside her husband as he battled cancer - twice. She fiercely loved her stepsons as they dealt with their incarceration and vices. She stood beside her own two children, an ally in their struggles. She stood resilient.
““I learned that every family has “messes,” disappointments, and sometimes tragedy. I also came to terms with unfortunate events that I experienced as have millions of other women: sexual assault in the workplace and in academia, and even college rape.””
Through it all, Ana stood strong. She flourished even, writing multiple books, becoming a TedX speaker for TedExWomen in Winston-Salem and launching a coaching career for women in high power corporate and professional positions.
When Ana came to us, it had been 8 years since she’d had her headshots made. She was in the middle of creating a course for her clients and wanted to utilize branding portraits to enhance her online presence. So, there was no time like the present to be courageous and get in front of the camera.
Having aged since her last professional portraits, Ana noted that it was important to show the wisdom she'd gained both mentally and physically while still exhibiting her active and capable lifestyle. Ultimately, she wanted to bring the variety of her portraits together in a cohesive piece that could be used throughout her course presentations to create a meaningful connection with her clients showcasing her personality and professionalism.
Here's a sneak peek of how her session went! (Keep your eyes peeled for her cute little four legged companion!)
